BJP Betraying Goan Youth: Vijai Sardesai Slams Recruitment of Outsiders for MRF Jobs

Goa Forward Party President Vijai Sardesai has strongly criticized the BJP government for allowing companies to sideline Goan youth in employment opportunities. Sardesai pointed out that MRF Tyres, which was granted approval to create 1,250 jobs for Goans at its Ponda unit, is instead holding interviews in Kudal, Maharashtra, on September 12 to recruit trainees.

He alleged that instead of prioritizing Goan youth, the government has facilitated job opportunities for outsiders, leaving local youth to struggle with unemployment. “This is not just a recruitment drive; it is a direct attack on Goan youth and their future. Goa’s jobs must go to Goans first, not outsiders,” Sardesai said.

Highlighting the rising unemployment, youth migration, and economic slowdown in the state, Sardesai demanded that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant intervene immediately and ensure that Goans are given first preference in job recruitment within their own state.
