Goa, August 25th, 2024: Ather Energy, one of India’s electric two-wheeler manufacturers, today delivered the first 100 Ather Rizta family scooters at its mass delivery event in Goa, at Hotel Marriott Resort and Spa. This is the largest single-day delivery of Ather scooters in Goa.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said, “We’re excited to be delivering the first 100 Rizta scooters to our customers in Goa. It’s great to see the level of acceptance and penetration of EVs in the state and the strong consumer response towards Rizta. The Rizta comes with a host of technologically advanced features, offers good range and is a reliable and practical scooter, which makes it perfect for a place like Goa.”
The Rizta is available in two models and three variants: Rizta S and Rizta Z with a 2.9 kWh battery, and a top-end model Rizta Z with a 3.7 kWh battery. The 2.9 kWh variants are expected to have a range of 123 km, while the 3.7 kWh variant will offer a range of 159 km. The Rizta has a large and comfortable seat and offers a storage space of 56L – including a 34L underseat capacity and an optional 22L frunk accessory. It also has a large floorboard that provides the rider with ample leg space. Additionally, the Rizta has several safety features like SkidControl™️, as well as features that were previously available on Ather’s 450 series of scooters such as FallSafe™️, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Theft & Tow Detect, and Ping My Scooter.
Ather Energy is also committed to setting up charging infrastructure to ensure a seamless and hassle-free experience for riders. Its network of fast-charging stations for two-wheelers, known as the Ather Grid, provides access to 1973 fast-charging points across the country. The company currently has 208 Experience Centers across the country, where customers can test ride and purchase Ather scooters. Ather has 2 manufacturing plants in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, one each for vehicle assembly and battery manufacturing and an upcoming third manufacturing facility in Bidkin, AURIC, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra.
The Ather Rizta S with 2.9 kWh will be priced at INR 1,10,786(ex-showroom Panaji). The Ather Rizta Z with 2.9 kWh and Rizta Z with 3.7 kWh will be available at INR 1,25,786 and INR 1,45,787(ex-showroom Panaji).
