In light of continuous heavy rainfall and a weather alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, the Directorate of Education, Goa, has declared a holiday for all schools across the state on Friday, 4th July 2025. The decision comes as a safety measure for students and teachers, given the forecast of extremely heavy rain in various parts of the state.

The circular issued by Director of Education, Shailesh R. Zingde, specifies that while the holiday applies to both students and teaching staff, teachers who are assigned training duties are still required to attend.

Students are also advised to stay indoors and avoid traveling to risky areas such as flooded streets, riversides, and other potentially dangerous zones during this period
