Goa, October 24, 2024: Zuno General Insurance, a new-age digital insurer designated as the lead insurer for the vibrant state of Goa, by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), has achieved remarkable success in driving insurance awareness across key sectors through a series of highly effective campaigns. So far, 77 gram panchayats have been covered by Zuno, where the company is actively working on motor, health, shop, and enhancing coverage.
In collaboration with the Department of Goa State Transport, the Industrial Development Corporation, and the Department of Health, Zuno has implemented several initiatives aimed at increasing insurance coverage for the underinsured population. These efforts are reinforced by educational programs in rural communities and institutions, ensuring that the importance of insurance is instilled in the next generation. The company has also launched enrolment drives for the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), providing affordable accident insurance to underserved population in rural areas.
Zuno is working to create long-term awareness through programs in rural communities and educational institutions. By tapping into education institutes, Zuno is educating the next generation about the importance of insurance, ensuring that awareness begins early.

In a major step towards safer roads over the last six months, Zuno has conducted more than 60 insurance awareness campaigns and road safety camps at traffic signals, PUC centres, Bus stands and parking lots across the state. The Motor Uninsured Vehicles Campaign has been a center piece of these efforts. Phase I of the campaign successfully reached over 85,000 vehicle owners through an SMS-based outreach, offering instant policy issuance via innovative tech solutions.
Building on this momentum, Phase II has restarted, sending over 1.63 lakh additional SMS messages to uninsured vehicle owners. The campaign also saw the appointment of District-Level Government Representative Nodal Officers in North and South Goa to ensure smooth coordination at the local level.
Zuno has also launched a Health Insurance Program in collaboration with local Fishermen Associations, aiming to provide much-needed coverage to vulnerable communities. Furthermore, the training of Swayampurna Mitras has been initiated to bolster community outreach and support.
These initiatives are complemented by 64 awareness programs focused on road safety, insurance literacy, and general risk management, particularly targeting rural areas and public spaces. Zuno’s community engagement directly emphasizes the critical role of insurance in safeguarding personal and financial futures.
With these forward-thinking measures, the Goa State Insurance Plan, led by Zuno General Insurance, is setting a new benchmark for comprehensive insurance adoption. By expanding coverage and building public awareness, Zuno is helping to create a safer, more secure future for all.
