Saeesh Aroskar, North Goa Vice President of the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress, has submitted a letter to the Agacaim Police Station and the Medical Superintendent of Goa Medical College (GMC) Hospital, drawing attention to the increased incidents of theft within the hospital premises.

According to Aroskar, relatives of patients have reported thefts of mobile phones and other personal items, especially in the hospital lobby outside patient wards. Shockingly, it has been discovered that the CCTV cameras at GMC are non-functional, allowing the thieves to operate freely, causing fear among patients’ families. He urged authorities to restore CCTV surveillance, increase police presence, and tighten visitor control to curb this menace.

The letter highlights the urgent need for action to ensure the safety of both patients and their families at the state’s premier medical institution.
