Panaji – Prime Minister Narendra Modi should seek an explanation from Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant must conduct an inquiry of the Official Note dated 16th February 2024 issued by Dr. Uday Kakodkar, Nodal Officer of Super Speciality Block (SSB) of Goa Medical College (GMC) warning the Staff not to buy Food from Vendors outside GMC and withdrawal of the same in less than 24 hours after Congress Party tagged PMO, demanded Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
We allege that the said note was issued to promote the Business of Private Catering Contractors appointed by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in Goa Medical College, charged Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
Addressing a Press Conference at Congress House today alongwith Santacruz Block President John Nazareth & St. Andre Block President Manoj Palkar, Congress Leader Amarnath Panjikar demanded that Food & Drug Administration should make public the Inspection Reports carried out of all Food Stalls outside GMC in last three months.
In a way Dr. Uday Kakodkar has exposed the most corrupt Health Minister Dr. Vishwajit Rane by exposing the incompetency of Food and Drug Administration who is responsible to monitor food stalls in the State, claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
If Nodal Officer of SSB of GMC Dr. Uday Kakodkar is aware of Street Food Vendors using Sewage Treatment Plant and Waste Water from Super Speciality Block Hospital, Who stopped him from taking action through FDA? questioned Amarnath Panjikar.
Is it not the responsibility of Nodal Officer of GMC to be concerned and responsible for the health of public? Is he responsible only for the Staff of GMC? This Note shows insensitivity and stone hearted attitude of Nodal Officer of Super Speciality Block who has become puppet of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, stated Amarnath Panjikar.
Food and Drugs Administration has turned out to be a scam. Last year Congress Party exposed how Water Tankers were transporting Sewage Water and FDA had no knowledge about it. Now, GMC Nodal Officer says Sewage Water is used by Food Stalls. This shows complete collapse of FDA, said Amarnath Panjikar.
