Much awaited Goa Intelligent City Management System inaugurated, officials behind the project honoured

Panaji: Goa government honoured Manager IT Siddarth Borker, and Assistant Managers IT Tushar Kuncolienkar, Shashank Verma, Prathamesh Namshikar and Prayag Phadte for the successful launch of Goa Intelligent City Management System, Panaji of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited today, in the presence of Union Minister Shripad Naik, IT Minister Rohan Khaunte, IPSCDL chief Mamu Hage, Director General of Goa Police Jaspal Singh and others.

The feature is being used by various depts such as police and traffic police for law and order, and tap traffic offenses respectively. The transport, CCP, waste management, and other government departments are also taking the assistance of the system for appropriate steps and action into issues related to their respective areas.

The cameras installed at various locations are being handled at this centralised location. The project is the initiative of the Smart City and as per Hage, it has been launched after facing various challenges since 2018 when it was planned to make a reality in the State.

The intelligent city management system is also equipped with facial recognition characteristics.
