Margao – Two days back, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant reiterated that all “Group C” recruitments will be done through Staff Selection Commission, He emphasised that Government Jobs are given on Merit. How come Margao Municipal Council recruiting 11 LDCs directly? Where is the transparency? Is this Model Margao? questioned Youth Leader Prabhav Naik.
Citizen threatened at gunpoint in broad daylight by anti-socials at Aquem is a matter of security concern for peace loving Madganvkars. Crime & Corruption looks to be symbols of “Model Margao” promoted by political heavyweight. I condemn the incident & demand inquiry & justice, said Prabhav Naik.
Reacting to the Advertisment issued by Margao Municipal Council for recruitment of 11 LDC’s and others and also the incident of Citizen threatened at Gunpoint in Aquem, Prabhav Naik charged that “Model Margao” promoted by political heavyweight is symbol of Crime & Corruption.
He said that Government must answer to Citizens of Margao why the Lower Division Clerk posts in Margao Municipal Council are not filled through Staff Selection Commission. Educated youths must get jobs on merit. I am keeping a close watch on future developments, warned Prabhav Naik.
Aquem area in Margao was always a peaceful place. Todays incident has exposed that law and order situation in Goa is bad and criminals are operating freely. I hope Police will act fast and nab all those involved, said Prabhav Naik.
I hope Elected Representatives will speak on both these issues if they are really concerned about Madganvkars. It is actually their responsibility to ensure that Margao remains safe at all times, Prabhav Naik said.
