Panaji: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane visited the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Chicalim to interact with doctors and staff, assess the facilities, and ensure the availability of essential medicines. During the visit, he listened to the concerns of the medical team and gained insights into the challenges they face in delivering healthcare services.
The inspection was conducted following discussions with the Hon’ble Minister and MLA of the Dabolim Constituency, Shri Mauvin Godinho, to review the PHC’s infrastructure and operations. The Deputy Director of Directorate of Health Services, Dr. Rupa Naik, and Health Officer, Dr. Sujata, accompanied him during the visit.
Minister Rane identified a few critical areas requiring immediate attention, such as the need for additional nurses and technicians. He assured that these issues would be resolved promptly. Reaffirming the government’s commitment to excellence in public health infrastructure, he emphasized the importance of accessibility, efficiency, and patient well-being in healthcare services.
The Minister highlighted the relentless efforts of the Directorate of Health Services, Goa, in thinking beyond conventional boundaries to provide top-notch healthcare to every individual. He stated, “We are determined to strengthen the system, address the needs of society with compassion and determination, and ensure the finest healthcare facilities for the people of Goa.”
