Goa Under BJP Government Becoming a Hub for Unlicensed Medical Practitioners, Says Amarnath Panjikar

Panaji – In a scathing critique, Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar has labeled Goa as a “Quack Destination” under the BJP government’s “Fake in India” mission. Panjikar expressed dismay over Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant’s apparent helplessness in addressing the issue of fake dentists operating in Goa, particularly along the coastal belt.

Panjikar strongly condemned the BJP government’s failure to take decisive action against these fraudulent practitioners and even raised suspicions that they might be operating with the tacit approval of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane. He challenged the Chief Minister to prove him wrong by taking concrete steps against fake dentists and quacks.

Panjikar questioned why the Chief Minister expected Goans to file complaints against these fraudulent practitioners instead of instructing the police, given that he also holds the Home Portfolio. He highlighted the lack of a robust mechanism to verify the qualifications and credentials of medical practitioners operating in Goa.

In a satirical remark, Panjikar suggested that the Prime Minister should commend Goa for implementing “Fake in India” in the health sector, crediting Health Minister Vishwajit Rane for the chaos not only in the health sector but throughout the administration.
