Panaji: while speaking to media DYSP Traffic North Prabodh Shirvoikar told reporters that in a surprise checking drive of “drink & drive” total of 14 cases have been booked in North Goa last night from which 8 from Panaji 4 from Mapusa 1 from Calangute & 1 from Anjuna have been reported respectively.Also DYSP traffic South Dharmesh Angle Has informed media that a total of 16 cases have been booked in south Goa.The booked cases have been registered and forwarded to the concerned court and the Hon’ble court will take appropriate action he added.He said as per MV Act there is a fine of ₹10,000 & 6Months imprisonment for the defaulter but it is up to the court to decide the fine of these defaulters
