Consistent Police Crackdown on Noise Pollution in Anjuna-Vagator

Anjuna: In a determined effort to curb noise pollution in the Anjuna-Vagator area, the police have taken consistent action against violators. Different teams from the Mapusa Sub-Division, comprising Police Inspectors (PI), Police Sub-Inspectors (PSI), and other staff, were formed to monitor and address the issue of loud music in the region.

Several cases have been registered at Anjuna Police Station under the Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules, 2000, and the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986:

  3. Anjuna PS Cr. No. 108/2024, dated 16.08.2024
  4. Anjuna PS Cr. No. 109/2024, dated 16.08.2024
  5. Anjuna PS Cr. No. 110/2024, dated 16.08.2024

The teams, along with the staff from Anjuna Police Station, conducted extensive patrols within the station’s jurisdiction, successfully addressing the issue of loud music and bringing the situation under control.
