Colvale Police Arrest Accused in Narcotics Raid, Seize Ganja and Motorcycle

In a successful operation, Colvale Police Station conducted a narcotic raid on 11/10/2024 at Housing Board, Colvale, acting on intelligence and reliable information. The raid led to the apprehension of 20-year-old Shahid Rais Mohammad Patel, a resident of Arag Sangli, Maharashtra. Police seized 718 grams of Ganja valued at ₹71,800, along with a Splendor motorcycle (Reg. No. GA-02-Q-1222) and a Techno mobile phone used in the commission of the crime.

The case, registered as Crime No. 78/2024 under Section 20(b)(i)(A) of the NDPS Act, has resulted in the accused being taken into police custody.

The raid was led by PI Nikhil Palekar of Colvale Police Station, with PSI Subhash Gaonkar, PSI Prakash Ghadi, PSI Ramchandra Satelkar, and constables Pravin Patil, Samir Naik, Ketan Shetgaonkar, Prajyot Bawkar, and Pratham Chibde forming the raiding team.

The investigation is being carried out by PSI Ramchandra Satelkar, under the supervision of PI Nikhil Palekar and SDPO Mapusa Shri Sandesh Chodankar, with overall supervision by SP (North) Shri Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
