A decade-long tenure of BJP’s Shripad Naik in North Goa has seen remarkable progress, with over 1,200 projects sanctioned, of which more than 1,100 have been successfully completed. Naik, who has been elected for five consecutive terms and played a part in the ruling camp, showcased the extensive work accomplished during his tenure from 2014 to 2024.

The achievements were detailed in a recently published booklet, unveiled in the presence of BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanavade, General Secretary Damu Naik, and former MLA Sidharth Kuncalienker. Naik attributed the success of numerous projects in both urban and rural areas to the collaborative efforts of MLAs, councilors, and Panch members under the jurisdiction of the North Goa Lok Sabha constituency.

The projects span various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and tourism. Notable among them are the establishment of public halls, cremation grounds, educational facilities, healthcare institutions, and promotion of water sports and cruise tourism. Additionally, significant strides have been made in healthcare with the initiation of AYUSH hospitals and wellness centers, benefiting Goans across the state.

Naik also highlighted his contributions to resolving the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) issue, ensuring relief for Goans, and emphasized the ongoing development of the Mopa airport, a project initiated during his tenure as Civil Aviation Minister.

Reflecting on Naik’s achievements, Tanavade commended his dedication to development, contrasting it with the lack of awareness displayed by Congress candidates. Tanavade urged against baseless accusations, emphasizing Naik’s significant national ranking as a minister and calling for constructive engagement in political discourse.
