Giving hardship & mental torture to Citizens is in DNA of BJP. INDIA Government will resolve this issue after coming to power in June, stated Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.Reacting to the Corrigendum issued by Ministry of External Affairs stating that “It is under Consideration of Home Ministry to accept “Revocation Certificate” as an alternative in lieu of Surrender Certificate of Indian Passport to grant OCI Cards, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao said that BJP cheated Goans.It is noticed time and again that BJP always give step motherly treatment to Seafarers and Goans working abroad. BJP has always insulted and abused our own Goans who work abroad to earn their livelihood, claimed Yuri Alemao.I demand that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant who was prompt to thank the Central Government after Memorandum was issued on 4th April 2024 should now make Government’s position clear, stated Yuri Alemao.Congress Party had given a promise to Goans to resolve the OCI Card Holders issue and I am sure that once INDIA Government comes to power in June 2024, both our Member of Parliament will take up this issue on top most priority and find a permanent solution giving relief to Goans, Yuri Alemao said.I am surprised that none of the Ministers including BJP Office Bearers have made any statement after the shocking Corrigendum was issued by MEA on 30th April 2024.
