Ahead of Tourism Season, SDPO Panjim Meets Cruise Operators

In preparation for the upcoming festive and tourism season, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Panjim convened a meeting with cruise operators operating from Panaji jetties. The meeting focused on ensuring smooth operations and enhancing safety and service standards. Operators were advised on key guidelines, including:

  1. Mandatory verification of all crew members.
  2. Obtaining sound permissions from the relevant authorities.
  3. Strict adherence to stopping music by 10:00 PM.
  4. Ensuring all safety equipment is functional and readily available.
  5. Implementation of comprehensive safety measures on board.
  6. Compulsory registration of ticketing staff with the tourism department.
  7. Paying special attention to the needs of differently-abled customers.
  8. Ensuring tourists are not subjected to undue harassment.
  9. Issuing only genuine passes and tickets.

These measures aim to enhance both the safety and experience of tourists visiting Goa during the busy season.
